Jens ‘Little Evil’ Pulver released from his WEC contract
Former UFC lightweight champion turned WEC featherweight contender Jens Pulver has apparently seen his last days as a mixed martial artist under the Zuffa banner.
MMA Fighting has confirmed an earlier report that “Little Evil” has been released from his WEC contract.
After flirting with retirement in late 2009, Pulver (22-13-1) returned to the cage and was submitted by Javier Vasquez at WEC 47: “Bowles vs. Cruz” back on March 6. It was his seventh loss in eight fights and extended his losing streak to five.

Manny Gamburyan: I will put on a clinic against Jose Aldo (video)
Manny Gamburyan is coming of a very impressive victory of former WEC champ Mike Brown at WEC 45. He is now in line for a title shot against Jose Aldo. Aldo is a destroyer, and despite Manny’s best efforts he will surely will find it very hard to put ‘a clinic’ on such a fighter. I look forward to the fight, but when you look at what Aldo did against peoples favorite Urijah Faber, it will be difficult to bet against Aldo on this occasion. But this is MMA and anyone has a punchers chance.
Gamburyan to Aldo: ‘I’m not scared!’
“That’s going to be a big thing,” Gamburyan said. “I won’t be scared, I promise you. When I walk into the cage, I’m going to look in his eyes and I’m going to say, ‘I’m going to take the belt from you.’”
